Overview

TubeSave is committed to your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and how long it is retained. We have designed our service to minimize data collection to only what is necessary for operation.

URL Processing & Third-Party Services

When you submit a URL for analysis or downloading, that URL is transmitted over HTTPS to our application. We query public metadata endpoints and media stream manifests from the respective content platform (such as YouTube, Vimeo, Reddit, Twitter/X, or Dailymotion). We do not save your submitted URLs in a persistent database; they are maintained only in temporary volatile memory during request processing and in an ephemeral background job registry for up to 15 minutes.

Temporary Server Processing & Media Files

For standard downloads, streams are proxied directly to your device without permanent storage. For multiplexed formats (such as combining separate high-definition 1080p video and audio tracks or audio extraction to MP3), files are temporarily assembled on the server in a working directory. These temporary files are scheduled for automatic deletion within 15 minutes or immediately upon download completion. We do not maintain a permanent media archive.

Rate Limiting & IP Addresses

To defend against denial-of-service attacks, automated scrapers, and abuse, our servers maintain an in-memory rate-limiting cache of client IP addresses. These identifiers are stored in volatile memory with a 60-second window and automatically purged every 5 minutes. Standard web server access logs may retain IP addresses, timestamps, and request paths for up to 30 days solely for infrastructure security and diagnostic troubleshooting.

Cookies & Local Storage

TubeSave does not use tracking cookies for our core service. We may use standard browser session storage or local storage exclusively to preserve your chosen UI preferences (such as selected language). Third-party advertising networks, if active, may utilize standard cookies according to their independent privacy policies.

Advertising & Analytics

To fund server bandwidth and infrastructure without charging subscription fees, TubeSave may display advertisements provided by third-party publisher networks (such as Monetag / PropellerAds). These networks may use non-personalized or personalized cookies to measure ad performance. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings.

Data Retention Summary

• URL Submissions: Retained only in volatile memory during active processing (maximum 15 minutes).
• Temporary Media Files: Automatically unlinked and deleted within 15 minutes of creation.
• Rate Limiting Keys: Cleared from volatile memory every 5 minutes.
• Security Access Logs: Retained for a maximum of 30 days before routine rotation and purging.
